We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director (MD) to oversee the operations of our bakery. As the MD, you will be responsible for driving profitability, managing the profit and loss statements on a monthly basis, and ensuring efficient production within our bakery factory. You will work closely with the General Manager to achieve our business objectives and maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives.- Monitor and manage the profit and loss statements on a monthly basis, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions.

  • Oversee the production process within the bakery factory, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.- Collaborate with the General Manager to set production targets, optimize resource allocation, and enhance productivity.
  • Lead and motivate a team of bakery staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of ingredients and equipment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and customer preferences to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide professional development opportunities to staff members.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute effective strategies to promote bakery products and increase sales.Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Managing Director or similar executive role in the bakery industry.- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing profit and loss statements.
  • In-depth knowledge of bakery production processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food industry standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Compensation:- Competitive salary of £50k - £60K per year depending on experience
